Actalent Remote Senior Mechanical Engineer in Kirkland, Washington
Description:
We are seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer who has experience within the Industrial and Power type projects. You will be responsible for leading design teams along with getting involved with the design for power and industrial projects.
.• B.S. Mechanical Engineering or similar degree from an ABET accredited college.
• Ten (10) years or more working as an engineer.
• PE license preferred.
• Strong work ethic, Eagerness to learn, Supportive team player and Good Verbal Communication.
• Experience creating flow diagrams and P&IDs.
• Experience writing equipment specifications.
• Knowledge of heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid flow.
• Familiarity with ASME B31.1 and ASME Section VIII.
• Familiarity with TEMA, HI, HEI, CTI, NFPA and other equipment codes and standards.
• Experienced with or desire to learn any or all: AFT Fathom; AFT Arrow; AutoCAD (P&ID); SmartPlant 3D.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Desired: experience with any of the following:
• Knowledge of water treatment and or wastewater treatment.
• Experience in Project engineering.
• Simple-cycle or Combined-cycle gas-fired power plant design experience.
• Knowledge of the following Renewable energy, Hydrogen gas, Pipe stress modeling software: Pipe flow; Caesar II and Thermal plant modeling: Theroflex; GT Pro; Steam Pro.
• Experience Working at a plant or jobsite.
• Knowledge of HVAC and Fire protection systems
