Amazon LMS Administrator, L&D Factory Operations, Project Kuiper in Kirkland, Washington

Description

Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

The L&D Team collaborates with cross-functional teams to execute comprehensive training programs for Production Operations. These programs include New Hire Orientation, external vendor training, and Technical Training Programs. We are hiring an LMS Administrator who will be responsible for delivering key training metrics, maintaining feedback loops between training outcomes and production performance, and serving as the Learning Management System (LMS) subject matter expert.

Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, experience in training metric program development, and the ability to deliver comprehensive training analytics reports to leadership teams, highlighting key metrics such as completion rates, compliance status, and program effectiveness.

Key job responsibilities

  • Serves as the primary LMS administrator for the Kuiper Factory Operation L&D Team, managing system configuration, user access, troubleshooting, and maintaining and expanding training content within the LMS

  • Drive and track key training metrics to measure program effectiveness, maintaining comprehensive training dashboards for stakeholder visibility

  • Execute content management activities including uploading courses, maintaining learning paths, and structured documentation of training materials per established standards.

  • Collaborate with Amazon Global LMS Teams and Kuiper System SMEs to implement system integrations, test new features, and optimize LMS functionality

  • Generate and analyze training data to identify trends, create custom reports for stakeholders, and maintain accurate compliance records

  • Develop intuitive dashboards and data visualizations to communicate training progress, identify trends, and provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making

  • Maintaining training dashboards

  • Key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs

  • Collaborating within our team (designers/instructors) for team KPIs

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years utilizing a Learning Management System (LMS) to perform administrative functions (e.g., assigning, tracking, creating trainings) including configuration, content management, and user support

  • 3+ years using Microsoft Office Suite

  • 3+ years collecting and analyzing data for continuous program improvement and metrics reporting

  • 2+ years creating dashboards using advanced reporting tools (e.g., QuickSight, Tableau, and other SQL-based data visualization tools)

  • 2+ years using Atlassian productivity tools (e.g., Confluence and Jira)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leveraging technology to develop and improve processes

  • Experience and comfort utilizing teleconference tools

  • Proven ability to identify, analyze, and solve ambiguous problems

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving business environment

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience in a manufacturing or operations environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $58,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $113,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
