Production Worker -- Job Description  

*Classification: *Non-Exempt *Wage Range: *$25.75/hr starting then up to $41.38/hr depending on position per Union Contract

*Reports to: *Production Supervisor                      

 

*Summary/Objective * The Production Workers operate various machines on the production floor under supervision and direction of Production Supervisor or Operations Manager.  

 

Essential Functions  

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Performs typical machine operations to support the production floor on a variety of different machines.

Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.

Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.

Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required.

Must be able to perform but not limited to the following tasks: milling, drilling, de-burring, molding and all bench operations and inspect.

Must be familiar with the basic machine functions in order to perform the tasks stated above.

Must be able to use measuring devices and math skills to ensure work station output is accurate.

Must be willing to accept and receive frequent feedback and assistance with regards to machine set-up.

Must be able to meet production rates for specific warehouse functions within set standards.

Must have initiave and the ability to work autonomously on production processes.

Reads routing and performs work as assigned by production supervisor.

Cuts, clips, holds, or carries product(s).

Notifies supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.
