Veterinary Animal Hospital Manager
Location: Kingston, ON
VCA Canada Beardall Animal Hospital has an excellent opportunity for an experienced veterinary client service professional to join our leadership team as our Hospital Manager.
Under the guidance of the Regional Director and in partnership with the Medical Director, the Hospital Manager performs a wide range of administrative activities related to the practice. The successful candidate will be passionate about providing leadership and development for a multi-faceted team, who delivers a high level of veterinary services to our patients and pet owners.
Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 2-3years experience supervising up to 30 staff members in multi-faced roles; delegate, motivate and coordinate
Previous customer service and financial budget management experience.
Administrative skills: scheduling staff, document control, filing, various reporting and coordinating office services (equipment/supplies/forms/procedures)
Leadership skills: fostering people relationships, providing coaching opportunities, towards the goal of quality patient care and excellent client service
Exceptional interpersonal skills; develop a respectful team-building atmosphere with your colleagues, while providing compassionate and professional relations with your pet parents and community
Must be able to handle multiple tasks and deal with an environment of changing priorities and manage positive change – processes, people and growth
Responsibilities:
Positively represent the hospital and VCA Canada in the professional community and to our clients
Direct and develop the veterinary, technical and administrative staff towards the goal of quality patient care and excellent client service; assist in the formulation of objectives and policies to ensure efficient and profitable hospital operations
Oversee the hiring, reviewing, disciplining and terminating of professional staff, and with the approval of the Regional Management team.
P&L management & monthly review in collaboration with the Hospital Medical Director & Regional Management team
Positively represent the hospital and VCA Canada in the professional community and to the general public
