Job Summary
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician 2 at our production site for our Stoneridge, NY location.
This individual will perform routine and moderately complex daily and preventative maintenance, repair machinery, and assist in construction and refurbishment of physical plant.
This position requires participation in 24-hour on-call rotating duty.

Salary: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform a wide variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks to assist in the daily repair, preventative maintenance and construction of machinery and physical plant and expansion projects, including routine carpentry, masonry, electrical, heating/air-conditioning, plumbing, painting, mechanical and floor/wall coating installation.
Operate construction and maintenance equipment and power tools; maintain hand tools and assigned equipment; perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
Perform scheduled inspections/repairs on all facilities systems.
Examine machinery and equipment to diagnose trouble using basic mechanical tools and equipment. Disassemble machines and equipment and adjust, replace or repair broken or defective parts and pieces.
Inspect completed mechanical repairs for quality, safety, and proper operation.
Perform equipment calibration and preventative maintenance procedures as directed.
Perform supply, delivery, distribution and acquisition tasks as directed.
May perform waste vacuum maintenance.
Participate in snow removal and ice remediation activities such as shoveling and spreading de- icing agents on walkways and parking lots, where site weather conditions necessitate.
Assist in moving office contents within site, including furniture, files, etc. as needed.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance repairs and services.
Respond to emergencies as needed. Provide 24-hour on-call maintenance coverage, as scheduled in rotation.
May provide guidance to less experienced/skilled utility workers.
May operate yard equipment such as fork lift and pick up truck including attaching and removing equipment such as snow plow blade.
Take proper safety precautions and utilize appropriate safety gear/equipment in the performance of all duties.
Perform all other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.)
One to three years' experience in general building maintenance with mechanical and construction background
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
Must be able to understand and follow verbal directions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, risk of radiation, and vibration.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
The hourly pay range for this position is $23.00-$25.00. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
