Hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist

Scope: MUST know how to process all invoices received for payment within Sage Intacct software. You will be responsible for processing 75 invoices a day.

Location: , Kingston, New York

Job Type: Full-Time , Monday - Friday 8 - 5 PM (Onsite fully)

Job Summary:

  • Process outgoing payments in compliance with policies and procedures typically via ACH & company credit card (AMEX)

  • Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data

  • Prepare contracts and contract renewals for vendors using approved templates

  • Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.

  • Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements

  • Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients

  • Generate reports detailing accounts payables status

  • Understands compliance issues around accounts payable processes (W-9, sales tax, etc.)

  • Communicate effectively, openly and honestly, with staff and leaders on a consistent basis

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience

  • High School Diploma minimum (college preferred

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00
