Position Summary

Firestone Fibers and Textiles seeks an energetic and motivated Production Operator to join their manufacturing team in Kings Mountain, NC, and/or Gastonia, NC, plants. As a Manufacturing Production Worker, you operate various machines, chemical, assembly, or packaging equipment to manufacture products according to production specifications. The ideal candidate enjoys troubleshooting and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot manufacturing production equipment

  • Move, pack, and sort raw materials or finished goods

  • Monitor the quality of output to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products

  • Maintain accurate daily production records

  • Other duties as assigned

SCHEDULE

Full-time, 12-hour, day/night shiftwork. Shift preference is by seniority (our current job openings are on the night shift)

Day Schedule

Week 1: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm, 2 days on, 2 days off (36 hours regular pay)

Week 2: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm, 3 days on, 2 days off (40 hours regular pay)

Night Schedule

Week 1: 7:00 pm - 7:00 am, 2 days on, 2 days off (36 hours regular pay)

Week 2: 7:00 pm - 7:00 am, 3 days on, 2 days off (40 hours regular pay)

Full-time, 8-hour 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift. Shift Preference is by seniority (2nd shift positions are openings)

First Shift

7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Second Shift

3:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Third Shift

11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

WAGE:

Starting wage is $21.26 per hour, with opportunities to earn $23.26 per hour within five years.

$22.01 with a shift differential (or slightly more, depending on the position you are assigned during orientation).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be 18 or older.

  • At least one year of manufacturing experience is required.

  • Candidates must pass all steps of the Firestone Kings Mountain hiring process.
