Hours Full-time, indicate working hours - Mon-Thur 7:30-5:30 Fri 7:30-11:30, Overtime, describe requirements - only as needed per workload required and only when approved.
Summary of Position
The Office Assistant II is a non-exempt position directly responsible to the Associate Registrar-Operations, whose overall duties are to perform all office duties in support of the Course Scheduling Office/Continental Records. Assists with managing online course enrollments, support departments and online managers with general distance Learning-related inquiries, and create classes.
Minimum Required Education
High school diploma or GED required. Associates Degree from a nationally, regionally or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education preferred.
Minimum Required Experience
Six years wage earning clerical experience or certification / successful completion of 30 credit hours towards degree and two years wage earning clerical experience or Associates Degree and one year wage earning clerical experience is required.
A copy of certificates and/or college transcripts is required with application for evaluation purposes.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of Ellucian Colleague Student Application and Informer or ability to quickly learn this application.
Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Knowledge of Blackboard Learning Management System would be very helpful
Ability to meet Distance Learning deadlines.
Knowledge of AI Portal/MyCAA program: contractual obligations and penalties.
Ability to create section cancellations and instructor assignments.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers and various departments mostly via email.
Ability to operate independently or as part of a team.
Ability make sound judgements and evaluate sources of problems.
Learn and adapt in a changing environment.
