Naval Sea Systems Command DATA & RESOURCE MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in Keyport, Washington

Summary You will serve as the Submarine Participating Acquisition Resource Managed (PARM) Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) Project Lead in the Obsolescence Management NAVSEA Surface Branch, of the Obsolescence Management Division, within the Fleet Readiness Department of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA Responsibilities You will be responsible for the management and oversight of multiple projects tasked to solve complex technical problems associated with obsolescence related risks and sustainment of assigned weapons systems. You will be responsible for providing technical guidance in the development, review and update of associated technical documents, problem formulations, metrics development, issue analysis, and evaluation and selection of courses of action You will ensure that all requirements of a project are accomplished, cost, schedule, quality standards and technical specifications are adhered to, and that the customer’s needs are satisfied throughout the project. You will function as a Project Lead and responsible for task development, cost estimates, financial management and project execution for the assigned projects You will be required to meet objectives and goals established by Program Managers and various project staff through effective utilization of resources and proper oversight with minimum or no direction You will frequently make and implement decisions on program matters such as scheduling, funding, technical efforts, capability, status briefings, and effective project execution You will apply system expert knowledge to solve complex technical problems and make recommendations regarding Obsolescence Management activities, system sustainability and supportability through the life of the system You will plan and coordinate projects requiring innovation and originality in developing schedules, procedures, progress and reporting methods, and efficient application of technical concepts and assigned personnel Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing administrative oversight for the Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) program, ensuring obsolescence, System Technical Refresh, or systems/analysis principles are met in respect to ship systems acquisition.
