Alaskan and Proud Markets is a locally owned and operated Grocery Store headquartered in Ketchikan, Alaska. We are looking for an energetic and innovative person to join our Ketchikan team. This position is for a Full Time Cook. There is a great opportunity for advancement within the Alaskan and Proud Operations. Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Basic understanding of commercial kitchen operations
- Strong work ethic and dependable
- Strong verbal and communication skills
- Follow recipes and direction of shift supervisor
- Must be able to obtain Food Worker Card within 30 days
- Ability to lift 40-50 lbs. regularly
- Ability to stand/walk for a full 8-hr work period
- Basic full body motions: bending, twisting, squatting, lifting, reaching
- Flexibility with work schedule (including weekends and holidays)
- Have reliable transportation options to make it to work on time
- Ability to arrive to work on time ready to start work
- Must be over 21 years of age
*Duties and Responsibilities: *
- Cooking, frying and following AP recipes
- Assembling Grab n Go Meals per recipes
- Taking and Tracking Temperature logs
- Cleaning and Maintaining work and merchandising areas
- Merchandising products as directed
- Misc. job tasks as assigned by store director or supervisor
- Obtain and keep a current Food Worker Card
- Follow and comply with company policies and procedures
- Follow and comply with Health and Safety policies
- Contributing to a Positive Work Atmosphere
