*Job Description *Anticipated Coalition Coordinator **PFS and STOP Act Grants
**Description of Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for facilitation of youth, parent and adult engagement in coalition efforts. Development, planning, coordination, and implementation of special projects. Create and maintain coalition activity records and reports.
The Program Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Engages community youth, parents and adult volunteers in coalition efforts.
- Coordinates and co-facilitates the Lee County The Best You Youth Coalition and the Van Buren County Youth Leadership Council meetings, special projects, and activities.
- Coordinates the annual Youth Coalition Training with Van Buren and Lee County students to collect data on youth substance use, trends and perceptions.
- Helps implement substance abuse prevention youth programming.
- Works collaboratively with other community professionals and coalition members.
- Conducts speaking engagements/presentations to school district personnel and community groups.
- Keeps up to date with current trends, policy changes and legislation.
- Tracks data for coalition activities and enters in evaluation software.
- Co-facilitates the Lee County The Best You Coalition and the Van Buren County SAFE Coalition meetings and engages coalition members to plan and implement prevention strategies.
- Attends professional development workshops, conferences and develops workshop and conference opportunities for volunteers.
- Represents the Lee County The Best You Coalition and the Van Buren County SAFE Coalition at the Alliance of Coalitions for Change (AC4C) State Coalition retreats and monthly action team meetings.
- Travel to conferences in and out of state.
- Identifies and engages community, regional and state individuals/entities appropriate for collaboration/joint projects/partnerships.
- Oversee day-to-day operation of the STOP Act Grant.
- Help complete all reports to the Federal Government for both grants.
**Qualifications: B.S. degree, or equivalent, with experience in substance abuse prevention services. If possible have obtained a Prevention Specialist Certification.
Supervisory Relationship:
- Report to Van Buren County SAFE Coalition Director and Board
- Report to the Van Buren County Community School District Board and Administration as requested.
- And other duties as assigned by Coalition Director.

- Microsoft Office
- Public Speaking Experience
- Good with people including youth and youth groups
**Salary and Hours: Up to $45,000; subject to experience and degree. 40 hours per week including weekdays and some weekends. Hours will need to be flexible both day and evening due to meetings and events that will need to be hosted and attended.
