Mantua St., 44240 Requisition ID:198745 Position Overview Davey's Geospatial Technicians map and analyze the environmental and physical assets of client properties in the government, commercial, utility, and residential sectors. This primarily involves using GIS software for interpretation and heads-up digitizing of aerial photography in the office to delineate areas of turf, trees, hardscape, and more. Geographic analysis of customer data is a secondary responsibility. This is an entry-level position. Reporting to our Corporate office in Kent, Ohio daily. Pay range is $18-21 hourly, depending on education and experience. Job Duties Job duties include, but are not limited to: Work effectively in a variety of computer systems and software applications. File management and organization of projects and their associated data. We are primarily a Windows environment using ArcGIS Pro and QGIS. A willingness to learn; continuing education is a must as systems and applications change over time. Learn and understand Davey's operations and related contract specifications of clients to perform the interpretation of property site characteristics. Qualifications Qualifications This is an entry-level position. Some GIS coursework is preferred, but again, prior work experience is not expected. Good organizational skills are a must. Self-learner mindset - we provide training on the basics; growing your own knowledge base is important. This is a full-time position - but accommodation can be provided if a promising student is finishing up a degree in the near future.
