Position Overview:

A Crew Lead is responsible for assisting with the installation of our wireless Semios network devices onto customer sites in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction. This role has additional responsibilities that include leading a crew of Installation Technicians.

Position Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required:

  • Performs installations and repairs that requires a basic level of technical and mechanical skills:

  • Install network equipment including Semios dispensers, insect camera traps, weather stations, network gateways, leaf wetness sensors and soil moisture monitoring sensors

  • Troubleshoot and maintain sensors and equipment using our Service and Installation app

  • Regularly service and replace lures and liners on Semios traps and perform equipment maintenance to ensure traps are functioning properly

  • Haul necessary equipment to work sites with a trailer

  • Operate company ATVs

  • Lead a crew of 2-4 Installation Technicians

  • Operate a company vehicle to transport their crew to various job sites

  • Ensue the crew is adhering to company policies and safety standards

  • Monitor, assess and report crew productivity

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of 3 years work experience

  • 1 year of of crew lead experience or 2 months of direct experience on a Semios crew (preferred)

  • A valid driver’s license

  • Proficient at towing, maneuvering and backing large trailers.

  • Ability to work long hours outdoors in various conditions

  • Comfortable operating an ATV in an Agricultural setting

  • Good communication skills

  • Maintain professionalism and a positive attitude

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to sit and talk, or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and far vision.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes, chemicals, airborne particles, outside weather conditions (including extreme heat and cold), and risk of exposure to outdoor pests. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with commercial tree fruit operations and a background in agriculture

  • Comfort with and interest in technology

  • Bilingual

Job Type: Seasonal / Temporary

  • 40 Hours + Opportunity for Overtime

  • Pay: $19.50/hr
