About this role:

As part of Carrier’s drive for continuous improvement in all facets of operational execution, we are looking for a dynamic individual to serve as the Critical Systems Portfolio Manager for the Commercial HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) ALC Field business.

The responsibility of this role will be to successfully manage the execution of our key accounts mission mission-critical project portfolios as it relates to the comprehensive oversight of turnkey execution within our business. In addition, the scope of this responsibility will include but not be limited to:

  • Ensuring on-time/on-budget execution of project portfolioOversight and relationship building of ALC distribution network (Dealers)Account planning and collaboration with greater ALC/Carrier Sales Execution Plan creation for all projects in portfolioKey Customer Contact for high visibility Global Data Center Customer(s)Identification of new opportunities, work with Sales to gain greater share of Customer spend via reputation & best in class execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess a strong understanding of the Controls industry business flow, including sales generation, product knowledge, field operations, financial understanding, and overall customer satisfaction mindset.

  • Responsible for the financial performance of a portfolio of mission-critical customers.

  • Responsible for the quality of turnkey installations, service team turnovers, and overall customer satisfaction.

  • Represents ALC and its interests in all portfolio decisions affecting daily operations.

  • Establish and maintain effective relationships throughout Automated Logic’s distribution organization, including North America, EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), and APAC.

  • Communicate both internally and within the distribution organization throughout the project to assess the customer's satisfaction and identify potential future projects.

  • Plan, organize, and direct execution teams from an executive level to ensure portfolio revenue and margin plans are achieved.

  • Led a technical execution and project executive team, including performance conversations, merit, and resource planning.

  • Coordinate and manage work to be performed for the customer.

  • Ensure profitable execution of all installation work and support the service delivery.

  • Effectively manage cash, costs, billings, and receivables.

  • Consistently oversee billings of the portfolio in a timely and accurate manner in a format that meets the customer’s expectations.

  • Maintain profitability goals and positive cash flow within the portfolio.

  • Effectively communicate financial status to management.

  • Assist Sales organization in high-level meetings and presentations, discuss execution excellence with stakeholders of potential new clients.

  • Assist Sales organization in negotiation and estimation of new orders/contracts. Support sales with Key Accounts within the portfolio regarding customer interaction and overall planning process.

  • Establish revenue and manpower forecasts to be presented to management every quarter focusing on portfolio growth, owner direct work potential, and manpower requirements within the portfolio.

  • Prepare and present executive-level portfolio reviews with senior management.

  • Responsible for account management planning within the portfolio.

  • Develop execution plans for all contracts within the portfolio. Execution plans will be reviewed quarterly with management and consist of subcontract management/procurement, local, national, and international resource requirements, and gaps in execution.

  • Responsible for all customer interaction and overall customer satisfaction within the portfolio.

  • Support customers in all aspects of customer relationships.

  • Ensure all ALC Organizational safety and ethics standards are met.

  • Support and assist the Operations Director in various special projects that align with business goals for Automated Logic/Carrier

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate degree with 8 + years of HVAC or 10 + years of HVAC/Building Controls experience

  • 20% - 40% travel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Building Automation as it relates to Data Center environments

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience with Carrier and/or Automated Logic building management system

  • Experience estimating and designing control systems.

  • Demonstrate exceptional analytical problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Ability to develop constructive and collaborative working relationships across functional teams.

  • Up to date on new technologies and ability to apply new knowledge and techniques to the job.

  • Use and familiarity with MS Office – Outlook (power user), Excel (power user), PowerPoint (power user), Word, Visio, Photoshop, Salesforce.com platform.
