Amentum Finance Analyst I in Kekaha, Hawaii

Amentum is seeking a Finance Analyst I for a position on Kauai, HI . Supporting the Finance Department. Supporting the Finance Department, as well as being cross-trained and cross-utilized in other departments, the candidate shall perform general accounting work to support PMRF, in conformance with company and governmental accounting principles, policies, objectives, and all other related duties as assigned by the lead and supervisor/Manager.

Responsibilities

Specific assignments and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following areas:

  • Provide a variety of administrative and data entry services for the Accounts Payable department.

  • Record invoices in Costpoint/internal database and perform data uploads.

  • Review PRs/POs in Maximo to ensure charges are billed to the correct GL account and adhere to departmental policies and procedures.

  • Coordinate with sites and project accounting groups to resolve queries that may arise during invoice recording.

  • Review invoices and allied tasks, as per daily planning.

  • Assist with improving AP processes in all areas of assigned responsibilities and timely report any issues.

  • Provide document management support to the department as required.

  • Assist other team members as required.

  • Provide support with travel booking and purchase card expense report submission, review, and approval.

  • Conduct research to support the reconciliation between Maximo Purchase Orders and the Costpoint financial system.

  • Prepares cash and investment forecasts, lease versus purchase analyses.

  • Prepares cash management plans.

  • Prepares analyses of accounts payable.

  • Prepares other financial analyses and evaluations as requested.

  • May specialize in project finance, financial analysis, or cash management.

  • Records and prepares daily summaries of cash activities.

  • Ensures that all reports and disclosures comply with applicable regulations, standards, and organizational policies.

  • Under close supervision, performs a variety of assignments requiring the knowledge and ability to select and apply standard financial techniques, procedures, and criteria.

  • Perform any other relevant duties as assigned to the position by the lead, supervisor, and senior management.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Typical office environment with no unusual hazards occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness.

  • Must possess planning/organizing skills and must be able to work under deadlines.

  • Lifting, pushing, and pulling 1-10 lbs.

  • Work positions requirements: walking, standing, crawling, kneeling, cramped, sitting and work requiring repeated stooping or frequent climbing.

  • Customer contact, extended workday, confined work area, and office laboratory.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or

  • A.S. Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline plus 2 years specific work experience in the accounting field may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree.

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Must possess the following PC skills: Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.

Security Clearance

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a US Government Security Investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment.

Compensation & Benefits

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $72,318.47 / $34.77 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
