Dartmouth Health Master Scheduler - Surgical Central Scheduling in Keene, New Hampshire

Schedules patients for pre and post procedure testing, including ancillaries, ambulatory appointments, and other required appointments determined by the providers. Use effective communication skills in patient interactions both in person and on the phone to include: ability to accurately include instructions to patients regarding preparations for testing/procedures and location of facility/doctor’s office if not in the main clinic facility, communicate any special needs and requirements for the surgery or procedure to OR personnel, monitor and respond to all incoming phone calls, messages and emails from patients, providers, product vendors, colleagues and other customers. Work with billing/coding staff and provide any necessary documentation needed to obtain prior insurance authorizations and pre-certifications for lab testing, physician appointments and surgical procedures. Notifies Clinic Administration concerning changes in patient insurance or authorization status prior to date of surgery. Minimum of High School diploma, 3-5 years’ experience in healthcare within surgical services scheduling preferred.
