About the role

Working under limited supervision when supporting assigned service calls, applies

advanced skills to perform complex preventive maintenance and corrective repair of

buildings, building systems, equipment, vehicles, and grounds within a geographical

area/route, potentially across multiple sites. Monitors building system operation, electrical,

painting, roofing, heating, and cooling. Must be flexible on schedule.

What you’ll do

  • Performs assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance.

Completes' maintenance and repairs and records as required.

  • Reviews assigned work orders. Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair.

Orders vital materials and supplies to finish the tasks. Uses CMMS to manage work orders

and supervise completion.

  • Leads solving and repairing buildings and installed systems, including plumbing systems,

kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, and HVAC/R.

  • Inspects building systems, including fire alarms, HVAC/R, and plumbing, to ensure

equipment operation is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions

prescribed by the client.

  • Coordinates and inspects the work performed by outside contractors. Contracted work

includes landscaping, snow removal, remodeling, HVAC/R, plumbers, and cleaning.

  • Performs welding, carpentry, furniture assembly, and locksmith tasks as needed.

  • Report and communicate daily all work activity via a PDA device

What you’ll need

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

  • At least one HVAC License is a Must: (EPA Certification, Unrestricted Air Conditioning License A, Air Conditioning B, Air Conditioning D, Refrigeration, High-pressure steam)

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and at least four years of related experience or trade school training.

  • Possess and maintain to operate a "full size" van/truck functionally

  • Licensure as required by Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ)

  • Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, or supervisors. Ability to effectively present information to an internal department or large groups of employees.

  • Ability to tackle practical problems and deal with various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization. Requires intermediate analytical skills.

  • Uses computer or PDA for work order system, email, and training—basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook.

  • Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
