TITLE: Janitor/Backup Cook (Daycare)
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:Child Care Director
CONTROLLING SUPERVISOR: KHDD Director
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicant must have a high school diploma or GED. Must have the ability to keep at least two (2) buildings clean and in an orderly manner. Lifting and bending may be involved on a continuous basis. Three years previous experience in a Day Care setting is preferred. Health and Food Handers Certification is preferred or willingness to obtain the certification. Knowledge of what constitutes a nutritious meal and the proper amount of food to make that will cover the USDA guidelines per age group.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Keep assigned area dusted, vacuumed, and trash emptied, including windowsill and blinds. Do not bother anything or clean employee desktops. Do not clean or bother any computers.
- The Backup Cook when needed will pre-plan a cycle menu for breakfast, lunch and snack per timeframe designated by CCDF Director. Responsible for preparing nutritional meals for Daycare children in accordance with USDA regulations.
- Assists with set-up and serving at lunch times and cleaning after meals in classrooms.
- Wash windows inside on a periodic schedule. Outside windows will be professionally cleaned.
- Ensures that janitorial/housekeeping supplies are replenished.
- Clean and sanitize all bathrooms daily. Keep paper towels and toilet tissue stocked.
- Mop and sweep tile floors daily.
- Clean air vents on a set schedule.
- Vacuum all carpeted areas and treat any spots on the carpet.
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds and move freely without restriction.
- Report any problem that should require knowledge of specific training to repair or correct to Immediate Supervisor.
- Assist with/complete any other job duties that might be assigned.
