As an IT Infrastructure Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping secure, scalable, and resilient IT Infrastructures to support services and applications. You will work closely with regional and global IT teams to ensure the alignment of technology solutions with business objectives and industry best practices. In this role, you will design robust systems, oversee solution designs, and contribute to strategic decision-making processes. Your expertise will be vital in creating high-quality, innovative, and cost-effective solutions that address a diverse range of business requirements.
You will be part of the team responsible for designing IT infrastructure solutions that integrate seamlessly with applications, ensuring they meet key non-functional requirements such as performance, resilience, and compliance. You will be a technical leader, driving evaluations of new technologies and collaborating with vendors to foster innovation. When engaging with stakeholders, you will clearly communicate solution designs and validate project scopes to ensure the organisation makes informed decisions. Your role will also include maintaining a catalogue of building blocks to support a unified and efficient IT ecosystem.
To excel in this role, you will need a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field and over 15 years of experience in IT projects, with at least five years in a Solution/Cloud/Infrastructure Architect role. Demonstrable expertise in multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP), M365 platforms, and on-premises technologies such VMware, Microsoft technologies and Linux environments is essential, along with a strong track record in designing large-scale infrastructure and applications.
You should be skilled in enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman and experienced in designing cloud solutions, including containers, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Ansible. Your knowledge of Windows environments (Active Directory, PKI, RDS etc.), Linux, database platforms, virtualisation technologies, and monitoring tools will enable you to create and maintain robust IT ecosystems.
Success in this role also requires strong stakeholder management skills, effective communication in English, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment. You should be a quick learner, adaptable, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
Certifications in Azure, AWS, GCP, or enterprise architecture frameworks are considered a plus.
