Job Description:
CDM Smith is seeking experienced commissioning and water operations specialists to serve in a key expert capacity for an international development assignment in Nepal.
The expert will ensure that the testing and commissioning of the system follow a planned approach and that the beneficiary receives a system that is stabilized and efficient for physical operation after calibrations according to acceptable standards. Lead the entire commissioning team (Client, Consultant’s and Contractor’s designated personnel) in flushing, testing, and disinfection of the entire system. Prepare/update template for a phased step-wise district metering area commissioning plan to be prepared by the contractor for the DNI works.
Review and prepare plans for step tests, night time flow analysis, and leakage detection as required from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree Civil Engineering, Water Supply Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field.
At least 10 years total professional experience
At least 5 years experience in commissioning and operation of bulk and distribution water supply systems in large urban/semi-urban areas.
Project experience in at least 1 country outside the home country.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferably master’s degree Civil Engineering, Water Supply Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field.
Experience with externally funded projects (ADB, World Bank, etc.) and experience in multiple regions desirable.
