J&J Innovative Medicine Principal Operations belongs to the Innovative Medicine Companies of Johnson & Johnson. J&J IM Principal Operations is a global organization located in USA, Belgium, Ireland, The Netherlands, Singapore, and Switzerland.

Within J&J IM Principal Operations, our mission is to provide diligent stewardship of the Innovative Medicine business model, by protecting and optimizing the product intellectual property (IP) structures in close collaboration with J&J Innovative Medicine Commercial, R&D, Supply Chain, Tax and Treasury.

Currently we are looking for IMPO UAM Functional PMO Analyst to join the J&J Innovative Medicine Principal Operations organization in Bengaluru, India

Role Purpose:

The J&J IMPO UAM Functional PMO Analyst will coordinate and facilitate various project management activities for the IMUAM (Innovative Medicine User Access Management) team, including project planning, risk management, understanding program critical paths, and supporting program management tools, analysis, and metrics reporting for Transcend project.

J&J Innovative Medicine (IM) Transcend is a global, multi-year end-to-end business transformation program aimed at modernizing foundational business processes through the implementation of SAP S/4 HANA. This program focuses on core functionalities related to SAP Manufacturing, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, and Finance processes. The IMUAM team plays a crucial role in ensuring security requirements are crafted and implemented compliantly within this program.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Work Planning and Execution:
  • Understand and administrate the project plan and its impact on key work of the assigned functions.

  • Build and maintain weekly project plans for assigned teams, ensuring alignment with program stage gates and functional responsibilities to mitigate delays. Support and maintain an action log to supervise weekly activities for workstreams, providing insight and alignment with program gate stages.

  • Develop and supervise relevant KPIs and deliverable metrics daily/weekly to meet timelines, identify and mitigate bottlenecks and inefficiencies, working closely with assigned action teams.

  • Understand the project ecosystem and identify what is in the pipeline for the team. Work with the appropriate partners within the IMUAM team to perform effort estimations and resource allocations at the right time.

  • Gain an understanding of the current state of each project wave relative to program implementation timelines to identify scope, requirements, and key elements of functional and team member impact from a workstream perspective.

  • Contribute to the development and administration of the project plan to help the UAM team successfully manage project timelines, activities, and work, and meet objectives at the program level.

  • Collaborate with functional and program-level collaborators to ensure UAM team insight into program-level reporting and the progress of implementation Execution.

2. Risk Management:

  • Attend program meetings to remain updated on upcoming program needs and ensure effective information flow to functional teams.

  • Maintain a list of risks and issues for assigned functions, raise risk log items, assist in risk mitigation, and collaborate to update the risk log weekly per program governance.

  • Ensure functional leads are aware of critical path work and call out risks as vital to meet timelines.

3. Ways of Working:

  • Act as a PMO Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for functional teams within scope.

  • Support functional leads in maintaining and supervising the risk log, interdependency log items, resource plans, change requests, and meeting facilitation.

  • Ensure compliant use of PMO tools, maintaining data quality and completeness according to program processes and standards.

  • Ensure the team remains on track with their work, finding opportunities for process improvements to improve efficiency in project management. Contribute to the development and implementation of enhanced processes within the PMO.

4. Program Coordination and Communication:

  • Prepare for, facilitate, and document outcomes of key program meetings, including Change Control Meetings, Program Status Meetings, and Stage Gate Meetings.

  • Leading PMO activities in updating program sites and completing work within established timelines, including coordinating international window scheduling.

  • Prepare and manage PMO reporting to senior leaders, ensuring transparency, scalability, and adoption of key program communications.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field strongly preferred.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience, including project management.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience working with sophisticated data sets and processes.

  • Demonstrable ability to make conclusions and decisions based on analytical findings.

  • Demonstrated ability to work closely in cross-functional teams.

  • Experience with Agile methodology implementation on large-scale programs.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.

  • Expert knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Experience with project management tools (Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet) and developing analytical dashboards using POWER BI. If any experience in Tableau, Qlik for effective communication, monitoring and tracking would be a plus.

  • Flexible, adaptable to change, and thrives in dynamic environments.

Preferred:

  • Understanding of business functions and how systems and applications are used by business partners.

  • Experience in Life Sciences, multinational pharmaceutical manufacturing, or related industries.

  • Prior experience in large-scale SAP implementation projects.

  • Experience in a PMO role, managing activities across functional workstreams in conjunction with site and global teams.

  • Knowledge of SAP ERP applications and Access Management.

  • Certifications in Project Management and/or Process Management (e.g., FPX, Lean Six Sigma).I would also specify experience with multinational Manufacturing Pharma Company.

  • Previous experience in Supply Chain (SC) operations or system implementations would be a plus.

  • Demonstrated leadership ability to embrace innovation and change and promote a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with team members of varying technical expertise, competence in clear, concise, and tactful communication with management, peers, and team members.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to work on-site a minimum of three days per week, with up to two remote workdays per the flexible work policy.

  • May require up to 10% domestic and/or international travel.
