The role.

Innomotics LLC is looking for a Repair Center Manager – Motor Services in the US, located in Kansas City, MO. This is an operational leadership position leading a team of shop floor repair technicians, field service technicians, sales support and local office support staff. You will lead all aspects of repair center business & operational responsibilities to deliver on safety guidelines, regulatory compliance, customer expectations, company financial, operational targets and employee engagement / satisfaction. You will also have critical collaboration with key collaborators with Manufacturing Plants in Norwood, Ohio and Germany, EHS, Sales/Marketing, Service Partners, Procurement, Finance, Product Management, Research & Development, Order Entry, Logistics, Workers Union and People & Organization (Human Resources).

Safety Leadership : Lead and cultivate a ZERO HARM SAFETY Culture, supervising safety metrics and compliance while promoting a safe work environment. Ensure adherence to safety regulations to maintain a best-in-class standards for the repair center.

Strategic Collaboration : Work closely with regional & global business segment headquarters to design and implement local growth strategies aimed to increase motor service sales volume and improve customer satisfaction.

Sales Support : Build and implement the local repair sales strategy. Lead the internal sales representative to achieve growth targets. Engage with key customers to drive sales efforts.

Profitable Repair Volume Growth : Define, implement motor service initiatives to boost repair volume, contributing to revenue growth.

Budget Management : Responsible for the facility budget and meeting operational targets. Implement cost optimization strategies and lean process improvements to enhance the repair centers cost & profitability position. Collaborate with the finance team in leading customer price calculation and driving monthly financial reviews.

Operations Excellence : Assess daily operations, identify strengths and opportunities for improvement, and implement strategies for transformation into World Class Operations.

Cycle Time Reduction : Develop and implement strategies to reduce repair cycle times, minimize non-conformance failures, adhere to quality regulations and optimize operational efficiency.

Continuous Improvement: Create initiatives to drive a culture of continuous improvement. Apply lean principles and efficiency across all processes.

Customer Satisfaction : Build an excellent customer satisfaction culture by delivering timely services of the highest quality.

People Management : Lead a minimum team of 15 employees that include repair technicians, field service, sales support and administrative staff. Mentor and develop Operations Management/Leadership talents and fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment.

Union Relations : Lead and run tasks related to workers union to ensure a positive employee / labor negotiation. As part of a team, participate in monthly labor meetings, grievance meetings and contract negotiations.

Your profile.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering. Equivalent experience with a High School Diploma/GED will be considered.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management, preferably in a repair center setting.

  • At least 5 years of experience in effectively managing, leading, and developing impactful operations teams, including handling workers union relations. Demonstrate sophisticated understanding and application of management approaches for work direction, motivation and performance management.

  • Proven track record in budget management, cost control, and driving strategic business initiatives.

  • Strong leadership abilities with a keen emphasis on safety, quality, and performance.

  • Knowledge in SAP, Excel, Power Point and Word

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with experience communicating all levels within the organization – shop-floor employees, customers, and executive levels

  • Results-driven mindset with a dedication to continuous improvement and adaptability to evolving business demands.

  • Open to travel 10-15% of the time, as needed, for customer, supplier, or partner visits.

  • Experience in electric machines or rotating equipment is preferred.

The pay range for this position is $87,000 - $149,200. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
