Catalent’s Kansas City facility is home to our Oral & Specialty Drug Delivery, Biologics Analytical Services and Clinical Supply Services businesses. The site provides a range of integrated services for oral solid dosage forms, from formulation development and analytical testing to clinical and commercial-scale manufacture. The Kansas City facility is a Center-of-Excellence for our Biologics Analytical Services business. Our talented team has over 25 years of experience providing analytical services for stand-alone and integrated biologics projects.
Catalent Pharma Solutions in Kansas City, MO is hiring a Quality Control Technician I. This position is responsible for quality oversight of all materials for packaging and distribution. Activities include inspection and sampling to ensure material and paperwork conform to applicable documents and procedures. May be assisted by fellow QC Technicians, and work with other departments as needed. Comply with divisional and site Environmental Health and Safety requirements.
This is a full-time position: Hourly Role. Onsite. Monday – Friday, Days.

The Role
Perform sampling of raw packaging components, finish product and consumables utilizing tabletop balance, analytical balance, yard stick and/or caliper
Prepare sampling packet, creating internal sample labels, reducing internal inventory after sampling, etc.
Perform sampling ensuring compliance to applicable Standard Procedures and/or regulatory guidance
Communicate effectively with both internal and external customers, peers and supervisors to facilitate the smooth conduct of project activities
Clear understanding of project timelines and the importance to deliver on time, as applicable
Maintain awareness of cGMPs (current Good Manufacturing Practices), industry standards, modern techniques and their application to pharmaceutical sciences activities
Identify and report cGMP or SOP compliance issues as necessary
Participate in material sampling associated deviation investigations, assure investigations are appropriately documented
Assist in the planning/implementation of procedural changes related to the Material Management Quality Control group
All other duties as assigned;
The Candidate
Required a High School Diploma or GED
Prior inspection and sampling experience preferred, but not required
Possess good communication and problem-solving skills highly desired
Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Internet Explorer required
Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
Must be able to clear a Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) background check for handling controlled and special security drug substances
Will be required to operate a manual pallet jack and may become licensed to operate the Pallet Stacker, as needed
Requires the use of a respirator
