Job Title: Purchasing Specialist

Aston Carter is working with a client in the northland that is hiring for a Purchasing Specialist! This is a great entry level opportunity within supply chain/procurement! Our client is seeking candidates with prior purchasing, invoicing, or relevant clerical experience and SAP experience! This position will work fully onsite while training but there is potential to work remotely in the future based on performance.

Job Description

This role involves taking over internal billing duties and is highly clerical. Responsibilities include managing the inbox for all client invoices, updating PO numbers, tracking numbers, and delivery dates. You will also need to make occasional phone calls to clients with updates, input invoices into spreadsheets, and send them to the accounting team. This role is repetitive and targets individuals who are detail-oriented and have strong attention to detail.

  • Ensure sure that warehouse paperwork is scanned in to the proper folders and then sent to the correct personnel.

  • Recording the acknowledgement on PO’s that are coming in.

  • Run the acknowledgement report and send out inquiries to the vendors who have not responded to sending in the acknowledgement.

  • Receiving daily on invoices coming in from vendors.

  • Responsible for making sure that correct information goes into the spreadsheet that is sent to departments daily.

  • Run the late PO report to find out which Po’s have not been invoiced yet.

  • You would also handle the emails /calls coming in and assist with inquiries coming in from the other office and inside sales.

  • Responsible for all RMAs, and correct pricing on warehouse order when a mistake is discovered.

Required Skills:

  • SAP experience REQUIRED

  • Invoice processing experience

  • Clerical office experience

  • Outlook experience

  • Strong Attention to detail

Work Environment:

Will be working in the office Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Ability to work remotely after 6 weeks, based on proficiency, accountability, and attendance.
