Job Summary and Qualifications
From heart attack to stroke to gunshot wounds, motor vehicle accidents, or just fractured bones, ER nurses see it all. ER nurses learn to quickly triage patients based on immediate observation and acute assessment skills, then to treat symptoms in order of life-threatening priority.

Responsibilities:
Under the general direction of the Director, Manager or Nurse Manager, Registered Nurse (RN) coordinates and provides patient care and assumes individual responsibility and accountability for the provision of nursing care.
Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing care is in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, applicable state Nursing Practice Acts, ANA Standards of Practice and the generic and unit structure standards .
What qualifications you will need:
Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Registered Nurse- Missouri Licensure or Compact License
Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course, or PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
Advanced Trauma Care for Nurse, or Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
