Mechanical Assembly Technician
Job Description
The Assembly Technician is responsible for installing components and equipment on heavy-duty chassis frames. Our company specializes in manufacturing aircraft refueling and vacuum trucks.
Responsibilities
Install components and equipment on heavy-duty chassis frames.
Read and interpret blueprints for accurate assembly.
Utilize mechanical tools and shop equipment such as torque wrenches and impact tools.
Work collaboratively within a team of 6-10 assemblers, with 1-2 assemblers per bay area.
Ensure all assembly tasks are completed efficiently and meet quality standards.
Skills
Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical and heavy equipment.
Proficiency with mechanical tools and shop equipment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Own set of tools required.
Familiarity with assembly and installation processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in body shop, farm equipment, or upfitting is advantageous.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment
Candidates will be working in a garage environment, exposed to the elements. The role requires physical activity, including bending, squatting, and lifting 50-100 lbs. The team consists of 6-10 assemblers, with 1-2 assemblers per bay area. The dress code includes jeans, a T-shirt, and steel-toed boots. The shift runs from Monday to Friday, 6 AM to 2:30 PM, with the possibility of starting at 5 AM on hot days. Optional overtime is available on some Saturdays.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00
