Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee and work with union skilled trades in maintaining and repairing equipment, the ideal candidate will have experience in resolving conveyor issues, managing maintenance projects, and improving equipment downtime.

Responsibilities

  • Coach Safety, Quality, and Productivity to ensure objectives are met through standardized work.

  • Lead skilled trades/maintenance personnel to evaluate controls requirements for maintaining and improving production efficiency, output, and uptime.

  • Supervise preventive maintenance schedules, inspections, and repairs to minimize downtime.

  • Coordinate and schedule manpower and materials to meet maintenance requirements and minimize downtime.

  • Monitor day-to-day production processes, tooling, and operations related to automation equipment.

  • Analyze equipment performance and work to improve efficiency.

  • Coordinate equipment refurbishment.

  • Determine and correct root cause of controls-related downtime issues promptly.

Essential Skills

  • Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls, with RS Logic being ideal.

  • Ability to work any shift, including rotating shifts and weekends (rotates every 4 months).

  • Experience in production supervision, continuous improvement, preventive maintenance, and maintenance supervision.

  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.

  • Automotive or similar manufacturing experience.

  • Supervisor or manager experience.

  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Maintenance supervisory experience of 3+ years.

  • Experience with PLC/robotics - RS Logic or at least PLC5.

  • Conveyor repair/maintenance - overhead.

  • Manufacturing experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
