Job Title: Quality Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a Quality Technician with a clear understanding of both FDA-GMP and SQF standards. The role involves ensuring that our program is properly executed and recommending appropriate changes to better meet production demands. The Quality Technician will perform periodic line audits on production and packaging, various audits as directed by the Quality Supervisor, and participate in research and development activities. The position also includes performing physical and light chemical analysis of ingredients and finished products.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper execution of FDA-GMP and SQF standards.

  • Perform periodic line audits on production and packaging as directed by the QA Checklist within the SQF Program.

  • Conduct various audits as dictated by the SQF Program and directed by the Quality Supervisor.

  • Participate in and review receiving functions in accordance with SQF Program and QA manual policies and procedures.

  • Ensure material inspections on incoming raw materials meet program expectations, including monitoring shipment conditions, supplier approval, and review of COA or COC requirements.

  • Participate in research and development activities and the evaluation of new and emerging products.

  • Perform physical analysis of ingredients, finished products, and R&D material on a timely and accurate basis.

  • Conduct light chemical analysis procedures as directed by established testing schedules.

Essential Skills

  • Quality assurance/control experience.

  • Experience with quality control.

  • Microbiology with environmental monitoring/swabbing experience.

  • Strong attendance and punctuality.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Experience in quality or manufacturing, especially in food manufacturing.

  • Quality assurance testing knowledge.

  • Food science background .

  • Familiarity with FDA and QA standards.

  • Food safety expertise.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in sciences or equivalent experience in a quality-focused role

  • Strong communication and computer skills.

  • Reliability and a fast learner.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00
