Summary Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! MCCS is a comprehensive program that supports and enhances the quality of life for Marines, their families, and others in the Marine Corps Community. Responsibilities Responsible for the total commercial sponsorship program including but not limited to the planning, organizing, contracting, administering, and monitoring of the MCCS commercial sponsorship and advertising sales programs. Develops a diversified commercial sponsorship program and ensures that MCCS guidelines and policies are followed. Solicits sponsorship and develops collateral materials in support of the solicitation. Weighs and evaluates unsolicited sponsorships. Develops proposal packages and negotiates best terms for MCCS. Drafts and executes sponsorship agreements and coordinates staff actions with the appropriate agencies, such as legal counsel. Ensures the development and completion of evaluation and after action reports. Researches market data and utilizes the most effective corporations to complement and enhance MCCS events through commercial sponsorship and commercial advertising support. Initiates and executes events with sponsors as appropriate. Attends sponsored events to ensure contractual obligations are met. Maintains inventory of advertising and sponsorship accounts and assets. Develops training and education materials on event marketing and commercial sponsorship for MCCS departments. Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment See Duties and Qualifications EVALUATIONS: Qualifications Four years of experience that demonstrate the ability to research companies for commercial sponsorship, identify key personnel to contact, and negotiate terms of a contract. Successful completion of a full 4-year course study in business or related field leading to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred. Excellent communication skills both written and oral to solicit commercial sponsorship, negotiate contracts and to write after action reports. Ability to interpret DoD and USMC policies concerning sponsorship agreements and contracts. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required.
