Description We are in the search for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our manufacturing team located in Kalamazoo, Michigan. As a Sr. Accountant, you will play an essential role in maintaining our financial reports, records, and general ledger systems. Additionally, you would be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our payroll systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design and manage payroll systems to maintain all payroll information

• Direct the collection, calculation, and data entry for each business function

• Prepare and review payroll reports and summaries for management, including monthly, quarterly and year-end reports

• Manage the timely and accurate processing of new hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations

• Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management

• Oversee the preparation and distribution of internal financial statements and reports

• Ensure payroll updates are in compliance with applicable local, state, and federal employment laws

• Support budget and forecasting activities, including collaboration with other department managers to support overall goals and objectives

• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits

• Use your skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, and Month End Close to excel in your role. Requirements • Proven work experience as a Senior Accountant in the manufacturing industry for a minimum of 5 years

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Solid understanding of General Ledger management

• Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Demonstrated history of managing Month End Close procedures
