Supervisor: GLCATR Coordinator -- Licensed Settings. Status: Non-exempt, part time. Wage: Hourly wage begins at $19.34 to $20.91, adjusted for relevant education and experience. Number of Openings: Multiple. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday availability needed.

Our Mission: ROI partners with children and adults with disabilities and their families so they may live more meaningful, healthy and independent lives in their homes and communities.

Our Skill Building Technicians support adolescents and young adults with autism and other developmental disabilities in a small, transitional residential care setting.

Part time, non-exempt status positions. Requirements: Must be 18 years old or older, must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Preference to those who possess a Bachelor's degree with coursework in at least 2 college courses relating to child/adolescent development, applied behavior analysis, psychology of learning, education and/or communication disorders. Duties include: implementing behavioral interventions for Individuals Served who demonstrate challenging behaviors; providing medical and/or personal assistance as needed; teaching and role modeling appropriate behaviors and daily living skills; teaching and supporting Individuals Served to independently perform tasks such as personal hygiene, housekeeping, meal assistance, self-care, personal finance, safety skills, skills related to leisure and social activities, and others; administering medication according to ROI procedures; providing input for developing individual program plans; and more.

Paid training is provided to all new hires. During your first few weeks of employment, you will take a number of in-person classes, virtual classes over Zoom, and self-paced online courses. Your supervisor will also schedule you for on-site orientations. Trainings include (but are not limited to): CPR/First Aid, nutrition, medication administration, crisis intervention, driving safety, and the legal rights and protections of Individuals Served. Trainings vary by position.

Requirements for Employment:

  • You must be 18 years of age or older.
  • You must possess a High School diploma/GED. You will be required to provide proof of said education through original diploma or official transcripts.
  • S. Work Authorization.

The Individuals we serve are part of a vulnerable population. As such, and in accordance with Michigan law, all candidates are required to clear a criminal history check before employment.
