Job Purpose: As a Diesel Mechanic/Service Technician, you will embody our company's values by performing routine maintenance, completing inspections, assisting in vehicle repairs, making adjustments and alignments, correcting vehicle deficiencies, keeping records, and delivering exceptional customer service. Compensation: $18.88-$41.59/hour, based on certifications, education, experience, skillset, etc. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Honor Commitments: Perform routine maintenance on customer vehicles, lease units, and company inventory in accordance with established schedules and procedures. Complete oil changes, remove and replace wheels, and grease chassis and various fittings as instructed by technicians or the Service Manager, ensuring timely completion of tasks. Support the light disassembling and cleaning of engines, engine components, and chassis components as instructed, demonstrating a pioneering spirit in the pursuit of excellence. Create Positive Experiences: Deliver exceptional customer service by maintaining a diplomatic and courteous manner in all dealings with customers and fellow employees. Assist in the repair of customer vehicles, lease units, and company inventory, contributing to a positive service experience for our customers. Foster Lifelong Learning: Expand technical abilities through active participation in training and development opportunities provided by the company Ensure timely completion of all assigned training, including achieving at least 90% completion of assigned Peterbilt Training modules. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Trade school or college education in a diesel technology program preferred. At least 5 years related work experience preferred.
