Summary About the position: This position is located at the Rocker Enlisted Club on Kadena Air Base, Okinawa Japan. Responsibilities Assist in monitoring and coordinating club activities including the planned food and beverage service, schedule banquet and special parties, catering requirements and other social activities. Monitors operations of the club or assigned area, normally during absence of the Manager and/or Assistant Manager. Normally at night, weekends, and/or holidays. Determines and obtains required merchandise, goods, and services. Responsible for the receipt, safekeeping, deposit, disbursement, and accountability of all activity funds, including daily and monthly financial record keeping requirements. Assures patrons satisfaction by resolving complaints and other customer problems. Directs and supervises assigned personnel for the enlisted club complex which include: Club Operations Assistants, Security Guards, and I.D. Checkers. Selects, plans and establishes work schedules, assigning and distributing work, counseling employees, maintaining employee records. Directly responsible for safety, self-inspection, sanitation, fire protection, corporate focus, training, resource protection, and continuity. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have a minimum 1 year experience working in a military club operation. Knowledgeable of Air Force policies, club policies on cash handling procedures, club regulations and operating instructions. Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 199, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. All Federal NAF employees are required by PL 104-134 to have salary payments made by electronic funds transfer/direct deposit. Probationary period may be required.
