A day in the life of…
PROJECT MANAGEMENT:
Deliver concepts/product(s)/process(es)/system(s)/solution(s) with defined quality at agreed time and cost
Contribute to the future commercial success of the business by end to end Project Management
Effectively manage scope changes through proactive and open communication with stakeholders
Anticipate issues and provide alternative solution(s)
Is actively involved in the strategic plans and pipelines for related projects
Write and update process guidelines and manufacturing instructions with full compliance to NIMS, NQMS and FSMS
PEOPLE AND RESOURCE MANAGEMENT:
In a matrix like organization:
- Ensure adequate resources and competence levels, manage the resources (including budget) allocated to the project
In a project-based organization:
- Provide effective leadership to the project team
COACHING AND SHARING:
Facilitate and coach within the project team and enhance the interaction and collaboration between the various specialists, within the PTC and across R&D Units, Technical and Business Units and with external partners.
Identify needs for training in project management within R&D and outside (where appropriate, e.g. I2L)
If PMI certified; is an active member of the PMI certified PMP Community
NETWORKING:
- Create synergies through effective networking with all relevant R&D Units, business partners, markets, SBUs, Head Office, external partners (Open Innovation)
STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT:
- Interface between stakeholders, interact with business partners
What will make you successful
Has a minimum 10 years PM experience dealing with new technologies or improving current processes and a successful track record of implementation
Has a minimum of 5 year experience in R&D
Experience in Operations and/or technical/commercial function in SBU (through missions or assignments) would be a plus
Has successfully managed small to medium sized groups of people
Has demonstrated the courage and ability to take decisions and solve problems
Has proven communication skills (Presents confidently and convincingly to steering committees.)
Good negotiating skills would be a plus
Has experience in the briefing process
