Position Specific Description

We are seeking a highly motivated, client-facing leader with experience in oil and gas (upstream and/or midstream and /or downstream) interested in a career in energy technology, decarbonization, and sustainable energy. The ideal candidate will have a mix of Oil and Gas experience and experience in at least one of the following disciplines: energy efficiency and optimization, low-carbon fuels, renewable energy, or distributed generation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather, analyze, summarize, and present data related to decarbonization of the O&G and Chemical industries across players, regions, and sectors.

  • Manage Chemical, Oil, and Gas client engagements focused on sustainable energy and decarbonization, including areas of abatement, technologies, and operations. Support the team’s effort to develop decarbonization solutions for customers based on needs, technology maturity, and NextEra’s current offerings.

  • Identify gaps in product offerings and propose partnerships or investments as needed to supplement NextEra’s portfolio.

  • Manage resources and establish relationship across disciplines both inside the company and in the chemicals and Oil and Gas industry across sectors and organizations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience in the oil and gas sector with experience in ESG, Sustainability, or (e.g., renewable energy development, energy analysis, ESG consulting, corporate governance, or investor relations)

  • Project Management experience in the energy industry

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills

  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and data analysis

  • MBA or other graduate degree in a related field

  • Project management and resource management experience is a plus.

Job Overview

This position will drive the team’s strategic priorities in coordination with management and increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the sales team. This position works closely with leadership to prepare executive level analysis, strategy, and presentations for leadership and to help the Sales team report, track, and forecast results. Duties include driving regular business updates with senior leadership, maintaining business plans, helping define and monitor key team metrics, and using strategic vision to help guide future product development priorities.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Drive regular business updates and strategy session presentations for senior leadership

  • Maintain business plan and associated pricing models

  • Collaborate with Sales Operations to define and create key metrics and actionable plans for the sales team

  • Report, track, and forecast sales team metrics – setup and maintain standard sales reports and dashboards that team leaders will use to drive the business

  • Become an expert on NextEra’s product/service offerings and customers; use expertise to assist in refining a product development priority list

  • Collaborate with team and other NEER business units to create and maintain a product gap analysis

  • Coordinate with financial teams to maintain basic financial analysis and revenue tracking

  • Manage and report on sales team budget

  • Work with leadership to help improve sales team assignments and maturation

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
