CommScope is looking to add Temp Strategic Sourcing Specialist

How can you help us to connect the world:
Under general supervision, responsible for carrying our broad assignments involving the sourcing of important items, requiring extensive or specialized knowledge or experience. Works with the site Operations team to ensure that sourcing strategies are aligned with site requirements. Develops both current and future sources of supply in support of the overall supply chain strategy. Negotiates contracts where losses occurring through errors in judgment would involve a large dollar amount. May provide work leadership and train lower-level buyers.
Required Qualifications for Consideration
Candidate must have or is actively securing a certification in the procurement area (like C.P.M. or CPIM).
Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business or a Professional Purchasing Qualification
A minimum of 8 years of procurement or relevant experience.
Extensive knowledge of product line under area of procurement.
Must have knowledge of all product lines and associated manufacturing processes under area of responsibility.
Has experience of at least 5 major procurement categories/commodities.
Experience in purchasing technical commodities requiring close interface with engineering.
Successfully demonstrated negotiation skills.
Well versed in cost/price analysis techniques.
