Unilever Waste Handler - 3rd shift in Jonesboro, Arkansas

Title of role: Waste Handler

The Waster Handler is responsible for carrying out general operations and cleaning regimes according to planned operational requirements in order to safely deliver a good quality packed product.

Location of the job: Jonesboro, AR

Shift: 3rd shift, 11pm- 7:15am

Base Pay: $21.14, shift premium $1.00

    What You’ll Do:

  • Dispose of empty plastic bottles and put with the appropriate plastic in the recycle.

  • Ensure hazardous waste drums and waste storage area in compliance.

  • Service, weigh, and log the non-hazard and hazard waste in all areas of the plant as needed.

  • Process, maintain labeling, and placement of recycle drums and totes from the COP area.

    What You’ll Need To Succeed

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Must be able to stoop, reach, sit or stand for up to 8 hours. Lifting abilities may exceed 100 lbs. on occasion with assistance.

  • Must have the ability of Reading and Comprehension, Writing and Mathematics . This will support recording of data and general teamwork skills with emphasis on good communication.

  • IT Skills – competent in the use of Microsoft Office; Excel, Word and SAP program is preferred.
