About the Position: This position is located in with the 404th Army Field Support Brigade, Log Readiness center, Transportation Division, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington Responsibilities Determines eligibility, entitlements, and options available to personnel proceeding on government official travel. Determines eligibility, entitlements by utilizing a diverse range of publications, including the Joint Federal Travel regulations, DoD procedures, manuals, and directives, government contracted rates and contractor provided computerized programs. Counsel members/travels and prepares documents for port calls, dependent travel, and emergency leave travel. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal Service performing the following duties which include: 1) determining travel entitlements on various types of order/authorization for service member, civilian employees, and dependents based on travel regulations; 2) reconciling transportation accounts utilizing a computer based system; 3) reviewing contract specifications related to travel operations; and 4) organizing group movement operation on various modes of transportation. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Information Management Technical Documentation Transportation Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06). Education Some positions allow you to substitute education for experiment, for this position you must qualified based on experience alone. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
