Position Location: Joint Base Lewis McChord, WA (Telework available when authorized/hybrid) About the Role: "This position will be effective July 1st, 2024 and is contingent upon new contract award." The ARSOAC (Army Special Operations Aviation Command) - Senior Mission Planning Support Engineer (MPSE) will troubleshoot the Mission Planning Environment and hardware and explain solutions to users. Additional Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited To: Provides user support for numerous devices and maintains updated software/hardware configurations. Trains users on mission planning and execution of software applications. Maintains network servers and client computers with current imagery. Provides local and remote support for IT systems and the software associated with these systems. Conducts network-centric system administration of user systems. Provides intuitive solutions for ever changing user support requests. Integrates enterprise communications architecture with tactical networking devices. Assists with proposal development, if necessary. Performs other duties, as assigned. Experience: Detailed knowledge of ARSOAC operations and tactics required. Minimum of five (5) years, within the last eight (8) years, operational experience with/or supporting ARSOAC required. Minimum of five (5) years operational experience with or supporting navigation and mission planning techniques including preparation and check out of flight plans for aircraft weapons systems required. Familiarity with the assigned component's tactical Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and mission guides requried. In-depth knowledge of the SOF aviation organizational structures, intelligence structures, functions, and procedures, as well as command relationships and responsibilities required.
