Responsibilities

Work Schedule:

Work schedule shall be0730-1630 Monday-Friday to include a one-hour uncompensated meal break.

Core Duties: The duties include, but are not limited to the following;

• Provide full spectrum of occupational rehabilitative services under the plan of care of a credentialed provider.

• Use assessment tools, intervention techniques and treatment modalities under the plan of care of a credentialed provider.

• Use complex/multi-step instructions with patients, caregivers, and other health care professionals and adapt those instructions according to the learning styles of the trainees or individuals receiving the instructions.

• Identify, recommend, and fabricate, as needed, complex adaptive and assistive devices, durable medical equipment, and complex dynamic splinting, after consultation with the occupational therapist.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

* Education: Associate degree for Occupational Therapy Assistant. Graduate from a college or university accredited at the time of graduation by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).

  • Experience: One year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant after graduation.

* Certification: Certified in occupational therapy through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).

* Licensure: Current, unrestricted license in any one of the fifty States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.

* Life Support Certification: Possess and maintain a current AHA or ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification.

* Security: Must possess ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance.
