Position Summary:
Preventive maintenance, installation, service, repairs and improvements of a wide variety of hospital and facility infrastructure equipment and systems including but not limited to HVAC, Refrigeration. Testing, troubleshooting and routine safety inspection of systems, components, circuits, parts and related entities using standard test equipment and methods to assure the proper calibration and efficacious operation. Providing emergency maintenance services and procedures upon utility and system failures.

Minimum Qualifications: Must be high school graduate or equivalent. Graduate from an approved Post Secondary Vocational Program or three (3) years recent related experience. Three (3) recent years' experience in HVAC Refrigeration.Certified as a Refrigeration Technician under the Clean Air Act of 1990, Section 608. (Must obtain within six months of moving into position.)Have ability to interpret and use manufacturer’s manuals and drawings. Must be skilled at reading and interpreting process flow diagrams, control and instrumentation diagrams as well as manufacturer’s manuals and drawings.Must be capable of recognizing and analyzing equipment problems and taking appropriate corrective action. Thorough knowledge of HVAC equipment operation and repair, including computerized building energy management systems.Must be capable of recognizing and analyzing equipment problems and taking appropriate corrective action. Knowledge of electrical and mechanical principals.Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
