DESCRIPTION OF WORK As an Accountant 1, you will conduct entry-level fiscal work for Cambria County Children and Youth Services (CYS). Within this role, you will analyze financial transactions and prepare documented financial statements and reports to control and account for funds and to analyze and project financial data. You will assist in preparing the state budget for CYS and Juvenile Probation expenditures and revenues, as well as provide assistance in the preparation of the county budget and all related financial and revenue reports required by the County Commissioner's and County Controller.

Diligent organizational skills are vital, as you will develop fiscal manuals for the agency to reflect all governing regulations for state and federal programs as well as detailed instructions for carrying out the fiscal demands of the agency regarding paperwork related to placements and invoicing of placement costs. You will also assist in preparing various fiscal forms for the agency's annual plan prepared for the Department of Public Welfare.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of professional accounting experience and graduation from a four-year college or university, including or supplemented by 15 credits in accounting; or One year as a Fiscal Technician and 15 college credits in accounting; or Five years of bookkeeping experience; and 15 college credits in accounting.
