$89,360 Minimum Starting Base Pay* + KPI Bonuses + Competitive Benefits

Qualifications may warrant greater starting base pay within the full pay range. Individual base pay is determined by experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for the management and maintenance of PEC’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) application throughout its full life-cycle from install through end-of-life and transition to replacement solutions. Partners with IT Operations to ensure system hardware, operation systems, and procedures meet application specifications and standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

+ + Work directly with vendor and IT System Operations to upgrade and maintain the ERP system

  • Responsible for change management, refreshes, upgrade scheduling, and monitoring system jobs and performance

  • Partner with IT System Operations to implement and maintain the architecture necessary for efficient performance of the ERP system

  • Participate in projects to implement, or enhance, enterprise applications which interface with the ERP system

  • Perform complex configuration, change management and testing activities that support the architecture and integration between all applications

  • Investigate and resolve complex technical issues with the ERP system

  • Work with IT System Operations to troubleshoot, research and identify database and server problems

  • Facilitate and document root cause analyses of ERP performance issues and downtime

  • Manage the integrity of security design, including participation in the implementation of backup and recovery processes

  • Administer application security access and roles to protect data and software

  • Participate in the planning of operational procedures for backup and recovery of databas

  • Assist in determining future growth requirements of applications in areas such as database size, nu mber of end-users and application functionality; works with IT Operations to address application capacity needs

  • Ensure the performance and reliability of the ERP system by monitoring these systems for high availability, and satisfactory response time

  • Implement recommended performance, productivity, or process enhancements relevant for the supported application

  • Communicate implemented enhancements to parties and conducts needed training

  • Monitor third party tools, such as Xymon for application and database performance, provides recommendations for enhancements and/or changes

  • Assist in writing technical and operation management documentation and specifications

  • Monitor enterprise application for user, and vendor adherence to change control procedures.

  • Complete support tickets in a timely fashion, based on service level agreements

  • Maintain frequent communication with stakeholder

  • Liaison between vendors, other IT groups, and end users

  • Complete higher level support tickets

May provide technical direction to others and assist in the development process of less experienced system administrators

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

+ + Knowledge of using computer systems, which may include setting up and using hardware and software programs, entering data, configuration or processing information

  • Skilled in principles and processes for providing customer service

  • Knowledge of system administration with ERP systems

  • Knowledge of security authorization design

  • Knowledge of various application/system monitoring architecture and development tools

  • Skilled in large ERP implementations in the areas of hosted and premise design tech, solution development and implementation.

  • Skilled in technical infrastructure, network/system operations, hardware capacity and high availability solutions

  • Skilled in monitoring and managing application performance

  • Skilled in identifying, analyzing, and resolving technical application and architecture problems

  • Skilled in scripting to automate processes

  • Skilled in anticipating and resolving conflict

  • Skilled in time management

  • Skilled in prioritizing and managing changing priorities

  • Ability to work with limited supervision

  • Skilled in communicating effectively verbally and in writing

  • Skilled in listening and understanding information verbally and in writing

  • Ability to anticipate, identify, analyze and resolve conflict and problems

Minimum Qualifications - (Education, Experience)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field

  • Directly related experience may substitute for education

  • Four years of Enterprise Application Integration AND/OR Security Administration experience

  • Experience in virtual server software, specifically VMware preferred

  • Experience in cloud architecture preferred

  • Linux experience preferred.

  • Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL or similar scripting experience preferred

  • ERP implementation experience preferred
