General Shale Senior Financial Analyst in Johnson City, Tennessee

General Shale, Inc., the nation's leading manufacturer of brick, masonry siding, and outdoor hardscape products, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for our corporate office in Johnson City, TN.

Summary of Duties: The Senior Financial Analyst position is within the Planning and Analysis department and will be working closely with Accounting, Sales and Production management, and other departments to transform analysis for the company. This position will also be leading critical efforts to improve data-driven decision-making across the organization to optimize General Shale’s sales and profitability by evaluating manufacturing plants, customers, channels, and products.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Executive level presentations in PowerPoint to provide current state and business proposals for key organizational decisions

  • Develop daily/weekly/monthly reporting and analytics for sales, cost, and margins for the organization

  • Create KPI dashboard reports to track progress on projects and objectives

  • Conduct ad hoc analyses and business models working with Sales leadership for new and existing sales opportunities and profitability improvements

  • Assist with forecast and budget development in collaboration with sites and management

  • Utilize various financial and reporting software (Qlik, SAP BI, etc.)

  • Optimize ERP and other software platforms for continuous improvement working with the IT organization, including data categorizations, reporting capabilities, and business guidance

  • Institute new processes and procedures in various areas to improve productivity and efficiencies

  • Additional duties and tasks not specifically listed may also be included

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelors preferred with a concentration in Finance, Accounting, and/or Business.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Intellectual curiosity

  • Detailed oriented

  • Excellent analytical skillset

  • Advanced in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite

  • Strong business modeling skills

  • SAP or other ERP system experience is considered a plus

  • Action-oriented and resolution driven

  • Excellent analytical, verbal, and communication skills

  • Sales support is a plus

  • At least five years of financial analysis experience required and/or equivalent education

JOB INFORMATION:

40-hour workweek with additional hours in the evening and/or weekends are required when project timelines dictate.
