UHS Team Lead Specimen Management in Johnson City, New York

Team Lead Specimen Management, UHS Wilson Medical Center United Health Services is seeking a Team Lead Specimen Management to join our WMC Phlebotomy department at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY. This position is benefits eligible.

Salary range:

$21.31 - $30.90 per hour, depending on experience.

Overview

Supervises the daily activities of In-patient, Out-patient, or Laboratory office. As applicable, functions as a Phlebotomist or Clerk performing services at WMH, BGH or at Off-Site locations. Performs tasks such as Patient Test Order Entry, Inpatient /Outpatient Phlebotomy, Home Draws, Skilled Nursing Facility venipunctures and other outreach locations. Responds to and resolves issues involving workload, personnel, equipment, conflicts, patient and provider service complaints.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

Minimum Required:

  • 3-5 years phlebotomy experience AND Three (3) months clinical patient registration, test order entry OR two (2) years' demonstrated experience within United Health Services' laboratories.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred:

  • Associates Degree in Applied Science/health-related field;

  • Three (3) years phlebotomy generalist experience;

  • One (1) year in team leader, section leader or supervisory role.

License/Certification

Preferred:

  • Certification or Registration as Phlebotomist, MOA or MLT.
