Innovation Associates, Inc. Manufacturing Engineer in Johnson City, New York

The Role:

We need a talented Manufacturing Engineer who is excited at the opportunity to use their skills and Lean Manufacturing experience to develop manufacturing platforms that accelerate our production, improve our capacity and help us be the best. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will apply an understanding of industrial manufacturing techniques to the design, procurement, production and inspection of specialized electrical, mechanical, or other specialized components or technical services.

What you’ll do:

  • Research new production methods and prepare recommendations for production technology investment, either in house or purchase, or manufacturing equipment.

  • Work to improve the layout and flow of material through the department to aid quality and efficiency in line with lean techniques.

  • Continuously evaluate manufacturing equipment and recommend process improvements with our current technology.

  • Develop and Maintain procedures, specifications, control plans, flow charts, and FMEA’s to meet ISO9000 standards for all work-centers. Perform internal audits to support compliance.

  • Ensure that production equipment is ready to run from a technical standpoint and work with maintenance to keep equipment in proper condition for optimal performance.

  • Keep up to date with current innovations in manufacturing technology and assess its viability to improving our manufacturing capability

  • As part of the manufacturing team , liaise closely with the manufacturing floor to identify and implement Kaizen opportunities within an environment of Continuous Improvement

  • Be part of the team that works on standardization and cost reduction of new and existing products.

  • Work with our Customer Service, Sales and Applications to ensure we support their organizations in providing optimal service to our customers with necessary information and drawings.

  • Provide guidance and support for solving technical problems that arise in the assembly processes to the manufacturing team.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering

  • 1+ years in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a cGMP regulated industry

  • 1+ years conceptual design and drafting skills

  • An understanding of Lean Manufacturing and the toolset associated with that

  • Basic knowledge of ISO requirements

  • Proficient in AutoCAD (release 14 and higher) or Autodesk

Even better if you have:

  • Master of Science degree with a focus in computer technology

  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing

  • Responsible for basic machine tools and processes

Compensation:

The estimated base annual salary range for this position is $63,916.00 to $87,884.50, though a candidate’s base annual salary shall be determined on a range of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications and experience. This position may additionally be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
