Working at NTT
The role of IT Projects Management is to develop and direct the planning / strategic planning of multiple projects. They oversee the coordination of employees and resources required to successfully complete projects.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.
Manages the planning, development, and implementation of assigned company projects and new business development using the Project Management Institute (PMI) methods aligned with the lean Agile execution process.
Conduct research and analysis to support decision-making and planning for major strategic initiatives.
Creates schedules and follows up with project managers to ensure that each phase of a project proceeds as planned.
Makes presentations to leadership and company executives concerning different phases of a project.
Manages the scope of work, objectives, quality deliverables, resources, risks, and other project management activities.
Lead the operational contribution to proposal development and business development activities at a project level.
Oversee a portfolio or program of projects and ensure client-specific requirements are met and/or reflected.
Manages the executed contract and financial aspects of assigned projects, including reviewing study budgets and expenses.
Maintains and evaluates project progress by maintaining timelines and other tracking/analysis tools.
Lead and ensure consistency in contingency planning and risk mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.
Drive performance improvement, operational efficiencies, and innovative strategies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:
Demonstrated understanding of project management principles
Good budgeting skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Deep understanding of IT services environment and technologies
Ability to lead and manage a team of managers
Demonstrated client engagement skills coupled with the ability to conduct presentations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Proactive in approach with have high levels of motivation, being a self-starter with good planning and organizing skills
Methodical and analytical and good attention to detail
Ability to manage conflicting priorities and work in a matrix environment
Academic Qualifications and Certifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant field of study, e.g. business, economics, or communications
Relevant certifications, e.g. PMI, SAFe
Required Experience:
Demonstrated leadership and management experience
Demonstrated experience delivering IT projects
Experience delivering projects using an agile methodology – SAFe would be an advantage
Experience in managing teams, including line management
Experience interacting with client stakeholders on planning, progress tracking, communication, and escalation activities
Experience interacting with executive stakeholders and providing feedback in steering committee meetings
Good background on what is technically required to deliver IT projects
