The Coca-Cola Company Director, Operations Finance in Johannesburg, South Africa
A successful Director, Franchise Operations is one who can create and execute a strong finance strategy within the Franchise to drive growth and profitability.
What You will Do:
Partner with Franchise leaders and Africa Operating Unit Finance team leading discussions to facilitate strategic decisions and develop comprehensive operational and financial analys is Impacting the quality of every business decision, including:
Assess overall business performance and collaborate across the franchise and bottler to assess commercial and marketing investments, as well as productivity opportunities to drive profitable and balanced growth, with strong focus on Volume, Revenue, Operating Income and Market Share.
Manage franchise (bottlers) and customer relationships at the local level, support insights and decision support on local business issues.
Quantitative and qualitative local Bottler/Customer analysis as well as Rebate and deduction negotiations with external parties.
Collaborate with Category, Franchise leaders and Africa Operating Unit Finance on Innovation projects ensuring the development of holistic Business cases and comprehensive system financial assessment.
Collaborate with Africa Operating Unit Finance team by stewarding the maintenance of solid internal control environment and driving a culture of compliance within the Franchise.
Manage all Business Models and drive balanced System Financial health within the Franchise, including:
Assessment and execution of revenue business models (Fixed vs hybrid vs incidence) optimization and balanced system/KO top line growth
Concentrate Pricing negotiations with Bottlers at Franchise level
Track Brand/Pack/Channel margins and bring margin discipline to operational business decisions
Develop, implement Margin optimization strategy across the entire system value chain
Leverage the network and execute locally Global margin strategy
Manage Mergers & Acquisitions and Revenue growth Management initiatives:
Main contact point for Merger &Acquisition/Tax/Treasury analysis and assessment at Franchise level
Lead the financial implementation of new business models
Support Financially all RGM initiatives deployment at Franchise level
Determine pricing strategy and objectives
Provide Financial input into new product / service development process
Analyze and Support Working Capital and Cash Managemen t :
Support Working Capital and Cash Management Optimization initiatives at Legal Entity / Franchise level
Interact with local internal and external stakeholders to drive working capital optimization
Role Requirement
Bachelors degree in business or related fields
8-10 years of leadership experience in senior financial planning or senior operational finance roles
Leadership and management experience, as a highly efficient communicator and influencer at all levels
Experience within the CPG industry is an added advantage
As a member of the Franchise Finance Leadership team, this role will likely have a limited number of direct reports and/or provide leadership and guidance to other Finance managers and analysts within the team.
