MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
- Developandimplementproductionplanstomaximizetheuseoftheorganization'sresourcesandmeetestablishedproductionspecificationsandschedules,volume,cost,andwastagetargets,andqualitystandards.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Useengineeringplans,contracts,andproductionspecificationstoproduceschedulesandproductionplansandestimatethehumanresources,tools,andequipmentneededtomanufactureproducts.
Monitorproductionactivityandanalyzeproductiondatasothattheflowofmaterialsistimedmeetproductionrequirements.
Adjustschedulestoaccommodatebacklogs,designchanges,andmaterialorlaborshortages.
Prepareworkordersforproductionorpurchaserequestsbasedonproductionschedules.
Evaluateproductionspecificationsandplantcapacitydatatodeterminemanufacturingprocessesandcalculatemachineandoperatorloads.
