As a Product Director in Real Time Payments, you lead innovation through the development of products and features that delight customers. As a leader on the team, you leverage your advanced capabilities to challenge traditional approaches, remove barriers to success, and foster a culture of continuous innovation that helps inspire cross-functional teams create groundbreaking solutions that address customer needs.
Job responsibilities
Oversees the product roadmap, vision, development, execution, risk management, and business growth targets
Leads the entire product life cycle through planning, execution, and future development by continuously adapting, developing new products and methodologies, managing risks, and achieving business targets like cost, features, reusability, and reliability to support growth
Coaches and mentors the product team on best practices, such as solution generation, market research, storyboarding, mind-mapping, prototyping methods, product adoption strategies, and product delivery, enabling them to effectively deliver on objectives
Owns product performance and is accountable for investing in enhancements to achieve business objectives
Monitors market trends, conducts competitive analysis, and identifies opportunities for product differentiation
Develop high quality and thoughtful strategy artifacts covering all aspects of our product, solution, channels, markets to a global leadership audience. Develop initiatives that help establish JP Morgan thought leadership in real time payments
Help influence industry developments in real time payments, domestically and globally. Be agile and have a finger on the pulse of market developments and factors impacting real time payments globally. Develop a team point of view on industry developments globally and invite discussion and debate to fine tune our position.
Work well with an international peer group, operating with a sense of urgency, in a highly collaborative manner.
Manage multiple work streams and priorities efficiently, in a fast paced environment; and at the same time be forward looking on longer term strategic initiatives that are needed.
Connect the dots and guide various aspects of the solution including market strategy, channel strategy, product roadmap, and tech strategy, commercialization, and pricing in well-articulated and insightful strategy materials. Maintain a health of the organization tracking and metrics that track our progress against plans and milestones in line with our strategy. Raise risks and impacts to plan quickly and efficiently.
Proactively educate the Treasury Services organization on market developments and partner opportunities. Conduct key capability gap analysis and provide recommendation for buy/build/partner decision. Analyze FinTech's to identify, engage and manage a portfolio of external partners with emerging technology and capabilities related to the growth agenda
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
8+ years of experience or equivalent expertise delivering products, projects, or technology applications
Extensive knowledge of the product development life cycle, technical design, and data analytics
Proven ability to influence the adoption of key product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
Experience driving change within organizations and managing stakeholders across multiple functions
Minimum 8+ years of work experience in a reputed consulting or other strategy focused position
Experience working in various facets of the financial industry including payments, banking with deep knowledge in current and future payments trends
Adept at creating business cases, ROI materials, high quality strategy materials
Learn new product and business knowledge in order to break down analyses and derive insights to provide key suggestions for stakeholders
Drive use case analyses and analytics including financial projection and sizing for new market opportunities from changing payments landscape
Experience working closely with cross functional teams (e.g., Products, Sales, Tech, Ops, Legal, industry advocacy, CIB strategy etc.) build relationships with and influence colleagues and line of business functions.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Recognized thought leader within a related field
Experience ensuring partner implementations are on track and delivering against plan
Willingness to travel as needed to participate in key client and partner discussions.
MBA preferred
